Beyond Basic Painting (ages 9-11)

Age 9–11

Set up a palette, blend brilliant colors, and use different types of brushes. Create volume with light and make shadows in a still life. Paint a landscape using a horizon line and a vanishing point. Experiment with texture in your paintings as you become more adept.
