Six: Abstract Watercolor for Beginners

NEW! This two day workshop will focus on Jan Heaton’s personal top six watercolor pigments and painting tools. Using exclusively six colors and six tools, the class will focus on creating abstract bold, rich colors with a minimum palette in transparent watercolor. Students will explore color mixing, mark making, and learn six basic watercolor techniques. New approaches to painting through classroom demonstrations, and individual experimentation. Students from all stylistic backgrounds are welcome, but the non-representational style is emphasized. Previous watercolor experience is not required. This class definitely encourages self-expression. Supplies are not included.
