Storytelling with Mixed Media Drawing

Explore visual storytelling through a series of mixed media drawings, discovering new ways to construct narrative-driven images. Draw with a variety of materials including paint, ink, charcoal, graphite, thread, and collage. Use open-ended, process-focused drawing to reconstruct part of a personal history, illustrate images for a book, document a dream, evoke a memory, or share wisdom. This class will delve into the ways that combining text and imagery can express more than a picture or words alone.
